Nursery teacher: Hannah Phillips
Children's Church is our way of providing families with an opportunity to include children in our worship time and church family, while meeting their developmental needs. Our morning Worship begins at 10:00am in the Sanctuary with a prelude and opening prayer. This is followed by our call to worship, two scripture readings, then music from our choir and praise team. All children are then invited to the front for our Children's Moment to receive a message with Pastor Nettie. They are then excused to join Mrs. Eleanor, a teacher at FFUMC for over twenty years, in the classroom for a biblical lesson, game or craft. Our younger friends visit the nursey room with Miss Hannah, an early childhood education student at Medaille College, for a nurturing social experience with developmentally appropriate materials.
These two rooms are connected with a bathroom off of the nursery room so that both Safe Sanctuary Trained teachers are present at all times. Ratios are also monitored.
Our nursery is for infants through age three and begins at 10:00.
Children's Church is for children age three through grade four. We welcome them to join our teachers in the two, right front pews during worship or remain with their families.
