Art Start

Led by Ronnie Lafferty

Teachers: Kathy Rich, Marianne Keller & Patti Greenstein

Art Start invites local community members to explore their creative side with free art classes.  A full slate of classes is returning for the fall session, including watercolor, decorative acrylic, knitting, card making, calligraphy, and scrapbooking classes.

“Art Start has something for anyone looking to explore their artistic side,” states Art Start organizer and watercolor artist Ronnie Lafferty, “no matter what your level of experience or interests.”

Art Start is a ministry of Fredonia First United Methodist Church and has a threefold purpose: creativity, therapy, and ministry.  Anyone from the community is welcome to participate on a first-come, first-serve basis. Class sizes are limited. There is no charge for classes. Materials will be provided.  A refundable deposit of $15 will be required for those who want to borrow calligraphy pens and tips. Scrapbookers are required to provide their own scrapbooks and photos. Papers, adhesives, stamps, and embellishments will be provided.

All classes begin the week of September 30th and run for 6 weeks, through the week of November 8th.
